Thyme.ly

An early-stage venture applying AI to family life, helping households manage the logistics of running a busy home.

Thyme.ly grew out of a real problem. While running a studio and starting my Executive MBA, my own family was straining under the logistics of everyday life: schedules, meals, errands, projects, and the mental load of keeping a household running. I became inspired by a classmate that AI could genuinely help, and I co-founded Thyme.ly to build it.

The product applies AI to the family setting, taking on the planning and coordination that quietly eats a family's time, attention and creates relationship tension. I designed and prototyped the core application and worked across the full arc from engineering to product to go-to-market.

The lesson from this work has shaped how I think about AI in general: the hard part usually isn't the model, it's the product discipline and distribution that turn a capable system into something people actually rely on. We interviewed a large number of potential customers to understand how they currently solved the problem and how our product could fit into their lives. We learned about the fractured information landscape that exists for family and the consumer preferences for physical artifacts. We also shifted our value proposition through customer feedback from time saved to improved relationships.

What I'm doing

  • Product strategy, customer discovery and product development.
  • Designing and prototyping our software and value proposition.
  • Establishing go-to-market strategy and testing ads.
  • Pressure-testing where the product creates durable value for families.
